On Saturday we had a long day with a lot of running around to get done and then heading over to Grandma and Grandpa's to work on a few projects. After a long day Grandpa asked if we wanted to walk out to the state land and go fishing with him. We had planned on just watching but ended up fishing ourselves too!
I only have a few photos on my phone right now of Nathan, Brendon and my Brother Matthew fishing and will upload more later from my camera.
Brendon had a blast and when he could sit still he thought it was fun to watch the fish swim around near his line. Shortly after getting his pole for the first time he had gotten a bite. It was so crazy! He had a fish on the line that was about the size of his hands and he thought it was "awesome". We took the fish off the line and put it into Grandpa's bucket to take back and put into the pond and show Grandma.
The funny part about the whole thing is Daddy said that Brendon has now caught a quarter of the amount of fish he has in his whole life. (He was testing Matthew on his math skills to see if he could figure it out) For those wondering that is Brendon has caught 1/4 the number of fish as Nathan. We plan to rectify this number over the summer!
Update: Here are some more photos from our fishing adventure
