This summer has been quite busy for us and the school
year is going to be even busier! To keep everyone updated on our family and
what new adventures we are going to be doing we decided to send out a
newsletter and are hoping to get one out every few months to keep everyone
informed!
This school year is going to be filled with many new
experiences, celebrations, and late nights but we can’t wait for it to start!
This past summer was filled with lots of twists and turns but turned out to be
a great adventure! Nathan, Magann and Brendon took thousands of pictures,
traveled to Michigan, visited friends and family, and went to 2 family
reunions.
Brendon had his 1st birthday party in Orem.
Many friends and family came out to play and celebrate. Brendon had fun playing
with his Mickey Mouse Bean Bag toss and Can toss. He smashed his cupcake and
opened his gifts and fell asleep as soon as everyone went home.
Brendon and Magann spent a month in Michigan to help
Magann’s mom after back surgery and to help plan her brother’s wedding. The
wedding was called off and they got to go to a family reunion and spend more
time with her brother Keith. Magann was able to help gather, teach and make
some of Matthew, Kathleen and Sophia’s 4H projects for fair. Brendon helped of Magann’s parents “farm” by feeding the ducks, fish, rabbits and chickens. He went to a
petting zoo at the fair and drank Cooks Farm Dairy chocolate milk for the first
time. Magann got to learn how to reupholster a headboard, 2 different types of
chairs, a bench and 2 banisters from her Aunt Sherrei. They saw lots of family
and friends at the triple Birthday party Magann’s parents hosted for Magann’s
sister Sophia, Brendon and Magann.
When Nathan came out to Michigan for a long weekend
they went with Magann’s family to the Detroit Zoo. Magann Nathan and Brendon
went to Bronners (the world’s largest Christmas Store), a gun show that
Magann’s parents were working at and a River’s family reunion. Magann and
Nathan played 18 holes of Putt Putt (Mini Gulf). They took Brendon Swimming at
a beach for the first time where Brendon preferred to drink the lake water and
play in the sand till he got cold. Nathan played Horse shoes with Magann’s Dad,
uncle Zek and cousin Sam after he had gone fishing and caught a fish.
Nathan:
Nathan is working full time for a company based in St.
Gorge, UT called Wilkinson Electric. He is helping to build a Jr. High in
Springville, UT. We have no idea yet where our family is connected to theirs
but we know at some point they connect! Nathan has also decided he is going to
work towards a degree in Math Education, and he will be taking a calculus class
this semester. He is also taking Ethics and Values, English and his 3rd
year of his Electrical Apprentice class.
Currently he is a ward missionary and the teacher of the Gospel
Essentials class at church.
Magann:
Magann is taking 18 Credit this
semester and plans to take 16 next semester. Her goal is to be graduating with
her Bachelor’s degree this spring from Utah Valley University! This semester
she is working on several history classes, SR. Seminar, Sr Studio, and Museum
Studies. Magann has started her photography company and has been busy most of
the summer working on several shoots and compiling her portfolio for review for
graduation. Besides that she loves the full time job of being a stay at home
mom! Currently Magann is the Birthday Chairman for the Relief Society.
Brendon:
Brendon is now 1!!!! His favorite
movies are Princess and the Frog and Tangled. He loves Mickey mouse, readying
his books, playing with animals and riding his rocking horse. Brendon weighs
around 26 Pounds and is almost 29 inches tall. Brendon loves Milk, squishy
packets and sweet potato fries. He has 8 teeth and 2 trying to come in. He is
wearing size 12month/18month clothes and size 5 shoes. He says; doggie, kitty,
up, done, momma, dada, gama (grandma), gapa (grandpa), papa (he’s only said
this once for us), duck, thank you, night, inky (binky), sit, down, no and ippy
(sippy). Brendon likes to sing, dance and climb on everything. His hair is
still red but has brown and blonde growing in as well.
