Who knew that one 36 inch little boy could do so much in just a few days. It is no wonder he crashes so quickly at night once he lays down. Daddy wonders what we do all day and sometimes I do to....
Our mornings start out simple and if we make it out of PJ's by 9 it's a good day. Usually, I try to get going and get breakfast ready while Brendon watches PBS (usually it is Wild Kratz and Curious George.) We eat and clean up.
Then it is time to get dressed. This may happen 2-6 more times in the same day with potty training and eating and playing. Each time Brendon has a blast trying to pick an outfit and then avoiding having to put on and keep on his pants...
By then it is lunch time and nap time. This is a fun one lately because Brendon is trying to avoid his naps by reading books or playing quietly so we can't hear him. We love that he likes to read, that's amazing especially because he'll read with us and keep asking for more if we let him. But 15-20 books in one go is a lot when you read them 3-4 times in a day.
After nap time Daddy is usually home or almost home from work. Yay. Brendon loves watching out his window to see if daddy is coming from the parking lot. If it is going to be a little while till Daddy gets home he usually curls up next to me a snuggles while I read or finish up what I am working on.
Daddy Time! From the moment Daddy gets in the door Brendon is right there. Most of the time it takes an hour or so for him to finally let Daddy go take a shower and clean up from work, Good thing he's not working out in the mud right now. :)
Even if Daddy is just sitting on the couch to read or watch TV Brendon is still right there! He'll bring all his toys to Daddy, his books, blankets basically anything just to have Daddy in his sight. I guess this is what we get for having Daddy around for 3 weeks 24-7
By the end of the day Brendon is so tired but he fights it. We take him in to read for a little bit and then say family prayer. He stalls by asking for hugs, kisses, more books, stuffies ect. Once he stops he is out and it takes a lot to wake him up till morning when it all starts again.
