Father Son Game Night

While I was making cupcakes one night Brendon and Daddy got to have a game night. Brendon had a blast learning how to play the different games with daddy and over time he even started to win. What was even funnier to watch was Brendon rolling and moving around on the floor to "move" his character.  They ended the night with a dance off where Nathan now holds a game record and Brendon was able to get several stars.

Boy's and Cars

Brendon loves to help Daddy with every project he starts. Today he wanted to help replace a dead light bulb in the car. Every few minutes he would turn to Daddy and say "What you doing?" then he would run off to play with his football.

Several times he would come up and say "What that?" Pointing to something in engine of the car. Looks like Uncle Keith is going to have a car buddy after all when we get to Michigan.

Brendon and Ernie and the Alphabet

I am going to miss seeing these two playing together when we leave. They do so well together and I love how much Brendon loves to show Ernie how to play different games. Here they are playing an Alphabet Game on my tablet and Brendon is trying to get Ernie to say the different Animals that come up with each letter.

And the Baby is a....

After much anticipation from many family members and some mind games from Nathan we had most the family thinking that we were having a girl leading up to our big reveal. Thank you Lani for taking photos for us through the whole event so we could share some of the fun we had.

Another fun element we had was we each wore the color shirt that we thought the baby's gender would be. Nathan in pink, I was in blue and Brendon wore purple (we couldn't find pink to fit him). Leading up to us announcing we would ask Brendon if he was having a Brother or Sister his response was singing the song "Sister" from White Christmas or walking up to whoever asked him and saying "I want a baby sister ok."

Nathan's Mind Games
Nathan had a blast decorating where there was a predominate number of pink throughout the room, listing girl names first, blowing up more pink balloons for the kids and having me pin girl stuff on my Pinterest account (I hope to get to use some of them one day though)

Colors and Cars

Brendon has been working really hard to learn his colors the last week and he has gotten it down pretty well.... that is when he wants to. If you ask him for what color an object is he'll repeat saying "what color?"

To get around this we devised a game of matching. He had Crayon shapped color cards I made a while back and he has to match his cars/toys with the correct Crayon. So far hes can make it though most of his cars bucket without a hitch and he says all the colors as he puts them down.

Score one for Mommy!

Sunday Cookies with Mimi

Brendon loves to help bake and cook in the kitchen this week he helped to make chocolate chip cookies with Mimi after church. He is such a big helper and works so hard to listen and make sure everything is put into the mix.
We have discovered that he loves the perks of helping even better. This is the face he was making while Mimi pulled out the chocolate chips for him to have as a treat after the mix was all made up.

Happy New Year!

Like any day Brendon was up with the sun and ready to go! Lucky for us we had the Rose Bowl parade to keep him entertained in the morning. He loved marching with the bands and even played along with some of them. Also note his Michigan State Championship Tee for last years bowl game is on to taunt Daddy. (MSU beat Stanford in the 2014 Rose Bowl)

Michigan State won again this year after coming back in the last half. It was a really intense game to watch in a house cheering for them to loose but in the last 2 minutes they WON!

Taking a break from the games we had a Mario Party Game going With Mimi, Papa and Aunt McKayla.
