We have a Secret!

This year has been filled  with a lot of fun and adventures but this was one of the most exciting! For thanksgiving we had Family pictures taken and slipped in a little surprise when we mailed them out in our Christmas cards.

This was Brendon's Favorite part of the shoot!

That's right Brendon is going to have a baby brother or a baby sister in 2015! We are due May 31st, 2015!

Here are the cards we sent out for the fun

Santa Visit

For family night we went for a walk into the Shops at the Riverwoods. We had planned to look at the lights, waterfalls and fire pits but ran into some new friends for Brendon. We were able to take a horse ride on a wagon and then Brendon was able to meet the horses.

After we took the wagon ride we ran into yet another friend, someone a little magical and jolly. Brendon didn't take a second look at Santa and ran right up to him to sit on his lap. When Santa asked what he wanted for Christmas his response was a truck and horse.

Bulldog Buddy

Brendon was so happy to get home from our trip and to have daddy around that he was able to convince us to let him make a build a bear buddy. Brendon has now added Buddy to his friends that he had at home. He has created quite the collection of Mickey and Dog friends.

Daddy came to Michigan

For the last weekend we were in Michigan Daddy flew out and surprised Brendon! I wish I had taken a picture but it was to dark outside when Daddy got to the house. Once we got back inside Brendon had to tell Daddy about everything in site.

That Saturday we drove up to Bronners, the worlds largest Christmas store. Brendon loved seeing all the displays and decorations (last time we went he was 1 and slep through it all). We even dragged Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Matthew along. It was Grandpa's first time there so he had fun too. As for grandma I think she wished she had a bigger Christmas budget (It's been a few years since she went last.)
After Bronners we went over to Frankinmuth, a German theme town. We loved walking the shops and seeing all the decorations for Christmas. Brendon's favorite part was the candy shops.
When we got home that night Brendon convinced Daddy to make Lincoln log houses and play cars down in the basement.
On the flight home Brendon did a lot better! He loved having Daddy near by and being able to have his own space to play and watch movies in.  The only time we had problems was when Brendon needed a bum change... not much room in an airplane bathroom.

We laughed at how well Brendon can sleep through things when he wants to. He fell asleep on the second half of our flight and stayed asleep from De-boarding, to baggage claim (it was not a quiet adventure). Even more surprising he slept through us putting his sweater on him, getting on the shuttle, walking to the car lot we thought we were parked in (Salt Lake Airport was renumbering and redoing their parking, so we stayed put as Daddy ran to find the car), then he slept till we got to the Provo exit. He woke up long enough to say "we go home" then slept the rest of the night and didn't wake till 8 the next morning .

Grandma let Brendon Drive

One of teh perks to having a half mile driveway growing up was we got to learn how to drive from a young age. Grandma continued this tradition with Brendon. He did really well for his first time and it was really entertaining to see.

My favorite part was when I realized he was pushing buttons and trying to change a few dials with his feet as he drove.
For a 2 year old he could drive well, must be from all his playing with daddy and watching daddy drive. He only had problems when we got close to the house and he wanted to look at the dogs running around outside rather then watch the driveway.

A Boy and His Dog... well Dogs

This is Mia and Milo they were about 2 months old when we visited and Brendon was obsessed with them from the start. From the moment he would get up in the morning he would have to go say hi to "my baby puppy". When they were downstairs he would make sure they had food, water and their bed. He would get so upset if one of the other dogs would lay down in the puppy bed, even the puppies mamma took some convincing to allow.

This is Chester, He is Uncle Keith's dog that we would puppy sit during the day while he was at work. Uncle Keith didn't understand why Chester liked Brendon so much till I sent him this photo. Brendon would share his animal crackers with Chester at the house, in the car and everywhere in between.
The dogs were so calm with Brendon and were pretty much game for whatever he came up with and when they were done they would just walk away and go lay down somewhere.
