Expecting #3

For my birthday we found out we were expecting a new addition. Little did we realize was we were only 2 weeks into a long 1st trimester. I spent many days/ nights sick and exhausted this time around and it was the only reason we found out this little miracle was coming

How we found out:
I hed spent several days sick and thought it was the flu Nate being funny decided to make the joke on my birthday that the only reason I was sick was because I was pregnant. Ha ha ha joke was on him. Later that day without him knowing I took a test and sue enough his joke was the truth

Later that day I waited for him to be doing his own thing and took the boy's in their room Brendon put on his Big Bro shirt and I dug out the shirt from our announcement from Everett for him to wear. When daddy was engrossed into his movie (and a mouth full of food) I let the boys out and caught the moment on video. He thought it was all a joke and spent the next few hours processing.

We announced to our siblings with this cute little note.

Nathan's mom's birthday was a blast we sent her gift in the male wrapped in 8 packages with a note saying "something to read with each grand child". while skyping with her and papa we watched her open the gifts.  Each package held a different holiday book and the last one held two. After opening them all our message hadn't set in so we had her reread the note, and a little help from papa they found the exciting hint

For my parent's we decided to go over on one of our random visits taking a paw patrol cake along with us, because who doesn't like paw patrol. The boys only watch it every time they go over and watch tv grandpa. On the slices for my mom and dad we placed a binky as well as the slices for Matt and Katt.

Mom "You wanted to share some cake huh?"
Dad to Everett "looks like you don't need this anymore" holding a binky
Kat "Why is there a binky on my cake?, Why is it a girly color too Everett has boy binkies? I's so confused..... Wait are you having another BABY!!!!!!!!"

Matthew (laying in his room recooping from his broken arm surgery) " Just Because I broke my arm and all doesn't make me a baby. I'm not a baby so you can have the binky"
my response "it's not for you"
"Then why was it on my cake, and why do I get cake? I broke my arm....."
ten min later he yells from his room
"I get it now"

Exploring new ideas

Brendon helped find all the letter's to his name and Everett's

Everett has taken to dragging his blanket around like a puppy dog when we are at home.

Everett has also taken a liking to anything that spins like the pin wheel at my cousin's house

One visit to my cousin's was filled with laughter as the 4 boys cheer for my sister Kat to pull them around the yard... it's only 105 lbs of wiggly boys

In the end she said her motor died and they took turns pulling each other around monitored by penny to ensure they stayed the play area

Brendon loves to splash anyone who would go near the pool and my parents place and Aunt Kat finally got him back one day. He had decided to go in the front yard and eat his Popsicle in the sun so he could dry off. Like any kid he ended up with it on himself and in a sticky mess. Kat then decided to help him clean off.

Morning Rituals

Once we are all dressed for the day the boys help clean up from their morning play time. They help vacume the floor and clean up all the toys and books.

Then it's on the their room to clean up a bit, make their beds, and put away the dirty clothes they forgot about.

Finally it is on to breakfast. Or rather in their cases 2nd or 3rd breakfast

July Fun

Michigan's Tall Ships festival was a hit with Brendon as we walked the pier to look at the different styled ships from all over the world. A big favorite was the Spanish Galleon

Aunt Sophia came to town after her work training and we got to sing Happy Birthday for her and gobble up some yummy cheese cake.
Ziggy's Ice cream trip! And we walked it! 1.5 miles there then another .5 miles to my parents followed by a 2 mile walk home. Big Brother walked about half of it.

By time we got home the boys were only a little tired and slept in till 9 am the next morning.
Dinner fun. Smashing Mashed potatoes all over him self and dancing to music

The boys found the bandanas from the reunion and decided to run around like Pirates for the next 3 days. They loved wearing the "hats" and dancing around to Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Brendon colored several pictures and kept pretending the couch was his ship and Everett was the crocodile.

NOT SURE WHAT TO SAY

I really am at a loss for words right now. Nate and I just found out that we have lost the last 5 years of photos (besides what little backed up from my phone, and computer and what is on our blog, FB or instagram)... Let me back up to explain how and why..... honestly this post is more for myself to remember why we have such a big gap in decent posts.

About a month before moving into our apartment we bought an external hard drive to replace Nate's and my personal one (they were getting old, corrupted and full of photos) .We transferred the photos and music ect to the external hard drive  , cleaned the computer of unneeded files and bam it was working better! Yay!

So Photo files were backed up on the external and on the computer at this point. All was good or so we thought.

bumm bumm bumm

External hard drive takes a 6 foot fall from the bunk bed it was stored on and stops working.

Fast forward to the week of the move and the computer started fritzing out as I was editing photos for a client. Turned it off for a few hours once I had the last photo edited. Nate came home and went to check it out and even more issues... eventually it wouldn't even turn on.

After getting moved we took the hard drive and computer to a friend from church who repair computers after a week of him trying the news wasn't good. Desktop was fried, power supply gone, mother board gone, the hard drive still readable so he was transferring all the data over and it too died. So the data is there just has to be specialty read in a clean room at an advanced lab. External drive he couldn't look at because it too was an internal issue.

Sent drives to a clean lab for assessment and quote for fixing, both are readable but we are looking at $3000 total for both. Had drives sent back so we can save up to have them fixed later when we have the money.

So starting new. new computer, new external, bought cd/dvds to back everything. Now looking to find our software disks.

Everett to the ER

Not even home for a week and we are heading to the ER again. Poor baby had a fever of 103* and wasn't breathing too well. shacking a lot like shivers. 11pm heading in and hoping for a short trip.

After sitting in the waiting room and getting thrown up on 4 times they got us in back and in a room right away. Thank goodness because most people were looking at a 4-6 hour wait. Our little guy was hooked up to a o2 reader, and heart monitor while they ran tests to see what it could be making him sick.
Shh Nate doesn't know I took this at 2 am

After several hours, tylonal, and a steroid shot his fever was down to a safe level and we were heading home at 3am. He was diagnosed with croupe and set to see the family doctor later in the week.
