We decided to take the boys to the zoo as a surprise and got a surprise for ourselves when the weather decided to change from sunny to rainy. Nice thing was it was only the last 30 min while we walked to the front of the park to go to the car.
Brendon loves the zoo and seeing all the amnimals and if he could have it his way he would go to the zoo (or aquarium) everyday.
Butterfly and Bird Houses
This time around we decided to use the Ergo Carrier for Everett and to let Brendon walk around (lead us around). It turned out to be a lot of fun and not having to deal with parking a stroller outside all the buildings was really nice and saved us so much time and energy. Although Brendon loved being carried on Daddy's shoulders so he could see further.
Wild Life Pond
Brendon loves walking on the bridge trails and spotting all the wild animals in and on the water. He would make us stop so he could take and picture of them. He was amazed by the Swan above and how it would dunk it's whole head in the water.
Train Ride
WE decided to take the train to the back of the zoo this time. Normally we walk one side then swing back up the other but with doing the front half while waiting to see the new Penguin Exhibit we wanted to have a little fun getting back. Both boys loved the train and were laughing the whole way as they waved to people walking.
This has become a tradition with Brendon and we had to carry it on with this visit too. He loves to have his picture taken with the bronze statues at the zoo but this one has always been his favorite and even in the rain we got a few quick photos in.
