Monterey Bay was filled with a lot of fun and adventure for us. This was the first large scale Aquarium for Brendon. He loved seeing all the different fish and sea life throughout the Aquarium. His favorite exhibit was the otters. Thus we brought home "Ted" the stuffed otter he carries around now.
Throughout the aquarium we were able to have hands on experiences. Brendon loved being able to touch the "icky fishy".
Another favorite exhibit of Brendon's was all the jelly fish. He loved staring at the colors and movements they made.
Brendon made a friend with one of the birds on exhibit and had fun watching and laughing at him hit his head as he tried to get to Brendon's nose.
Here is Brendon in the children's play area at the aquarium
Here is a view from the observation deck of the aquarium, we found out later that there was a ship near by following a mother and baby whale around in the bay. All we could see was a few otters and birds though.
While we were walking around the gift shop of the Aquarium Brendon began to yawn we had let him choose a stuffed animal to buy to bring home (Ted) and while in line he fell asleep mid sentence telling us about Ted and his star fish.
With Brendon asleep in the pack we decided to go for a walk around the town of Monterey. We continued to collect pennies, postcards and look in on a few of the shops while getting lots of smiles for our sleeping tot. (Ted is the lil guy in the side pocket)
Here is a view of the down town area we walked and some of the fun things we found along the way
After about an hour someone opened his eyes and wanted not only his otter but also mommy's Stuffed Sea Lion. Once he was happy and had it back in place he slept for another 30 minutes back to the car.
