 While the kids were all in bed we had an adult round of find the pickle on the tree. The winner got a prize. Nate found the pickle this year for the adults and won him self a family plate with all the family names on it

Rivers' Christmas

Every year my mom's side of the family gets all the generations together for a family dinner for the holidays. This year was no exception. We had a ton of laughter, food, and smiles around the house. This year we decided to bring back the White Elephant games we used to play. Round one for the toddler crew where we read a left right story. Note to self find or write a story that takes 2 minutes or less. Round two was the teens. I found a 12 days of Christmas exchange game where they would draw a card and do what it said. Round three was the adults. Here we played the traditional stealing game. Poor Keith had his gift stolen over and over, guess that is what happens when he draws the candy bags every time. :) 

Emma's Closet Project

Since the Priesthood commemoration celebration and service day our ward held I have had a pet project to help families who are in need in the ward. This project has not been easy and has had quite a few hiccups along the way. Mostly lack of support from members in the ward. Let me back up a moment and explain why this is and where we are now.

Our ward has had a clothing Barn at the building for as long as I can remember, honestly my own family helped donate clothes to it originally and used it shortly after our home had burnt down in 1998. But over the last 8 years or so the barn has been neglected. Many clothes had to be pitched to the trash cans and it was a awful waste. 

In June our RS president decided to reopen it and get it back a flowing again, and there are a lot of families in our area that can use this resource. Many have, and others are afraid too, due to judgement and embarrassment. 

Since getting called to be the manager through I have organized, sorted, and serviced many families. we now have a steady flow of clothes coming in and families coming in to gather needs.

 Behind the men's and women's hanging bar is a variety of coats and vests 

we are also collecting some baby items for families in need of that as well
